Cinco de Mayo - Only in Mexico?
My son's class, which includes Latino students from many different countries, was having a Cinco de Mayo celebration. I asked one of the parents,
a native of Peru, to bring some food in for the party and she was highly
offended. She said "That is a Mexican holiday and we do not celebrate it!"
I looked it up on the internet and it said that while it is basically a Mexican celebration, other Latin American countries celebrate it as well. Is this true or not?
