New Lesson
Si Clauses - Impossible Situations
The least common
type of si clause is used to describe impossible situations, when
referring to something that would have happened if some condition had been
met. Since the condition was not met, the result clause is impossible.

Discusiones
Cinco de Mayo
My son's class, which includes Latino students from many different countries, was having a Cinco de Mayo celebration. I asked one of the parents,
a native of Peru, to bring some food in for the party and she was highly
offended. She said "That is a Mexican holiday and we do not celebrate it!"
I looked it up on the internet and it said that while it is basically a Mexican celebration, other Latin American countries celebrate it as well. Is this true?
What else do you know about Cinco de Mayo? How did you celebrate it?
