The Spanish pluperfect (aka past
perfect) is used to indicate an action in the past that occurred
before another action in the past. The latter can be either mentioned in the
same sentence or implied.

"Bringing Up Baby Bilingual"
El autor de este libro enseñó a su hijo en francés al mismo tiempo
enseñandole el inglés durante todo su niñez. Con este familia, el padre tomó responsibilidad de
enseñar el inges al niño cuando la madre le enseñó francés, aunque no hablen la
gente (de la ciudad donde viven) este idioma. Descute el autor varias maneras cual puede uno aplicar un idioma segundo a la vida de sus
niños naturalmente. Porque puede uno enseñar un idioma segundo, cuando se parece que el
inglés es tan universal?? Tal vez es que le ayude el niño/a acceptar otra gente y culturas mas naturalmente.
Así, como es con vds.?? Es parte de sus vidas de enseñar otra lengua a sus
niños,que no hable en su parte del mundo??
